Training Manager (Full Time or Part Time Circa 20hrs/week)

Certus Graduate works with high growth companies helping them recruit and train the next generation of sales superstars. With 20 years experience identifying and placing great sales talent, we have recently partnered with a leader in sales performance to develop a truly unique sales training program that, in addition to addressing the essential sales competencies, focusses on the mindset, attitude and beliefs that drive behaviour and aligns this with those of top performing salespeople.
The program runs over the first 12 weeks of the participants' employment and consists of a combination of assessments, 3-4 days classroom training and individual learning, all of which is managed through an online portal and shared with the hiring managers who are also required to participate during the program.
Further, you will also deliver a training program for sales managers designed to help them assess and understand their team members. It will also provide an introduction to professional coaching and provide a basic level of coaching ability designed to help them support their team on an ongoing basis.
We are currently looking to recruit a Training Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of this unique program, in addition to further responsibilities outlined below. The training will be delivered across both client sites and in our offices in Kings Cross. Given the current situation, there may also be a requirement for remote delivery over the coming months.
The unique nature of the program will require the Training Manager to undergo training and accreditation with our research partner. It is important to note that, whilst elements of the underlying program are predetermined, there is massive scope for the Training Manager to personalize and contribute to the development of the programs content and content will vary from client to client. This is not a role delivering predetermined content!
Additionally, the Training Manager will also assume responsibility for the further development and improvement of our own L&D programs, both within Certus Graduate and the wider Certus Recruitment Group.
You will be a passionate sales trainer, with a genuine personal interest in the psychology of sales and the impact of empowering and disempowering beliefs. You will be able to demonstrate
- Experience developing sales training courses and content
- Experience delivering remote training and development solutions
- An in-depth understanding of the common sales training methodologies and models
- Experience in 1-1 coaching, perhaps possessing a coaching qualification
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- A confident, engaging & gregarious personality
- A proven track record in sales improvement across organisations you’ve worked with
- The desire to take a leading role in a fast-growth business, working as part of the senior management team
It is anticipated that the role will be initially part time, circa 20 hours per week. However, there is scope to make it full time by including further responsibilities across the Group if required.
The role will be largely based in London and the South East with a combination of office and client based work, therefore flexibility in working hours will be required.
