Sales Development Representative - SaaS

We are delighted to be recruiting for a vital new role within the Business Development team of one of the UK’s most exciting and innovative start-ups. The successful applicant will join in a varied SDR role, designed to support the team of closing sales reps. You will be tasked with generating new business, sales meetings with senior-level decision-makers in Finance, Professional Services, Technology, HR and Charitable organisations. You will create these by following up on B2B marketing leads and prospecting to your own, researched opportunities, as well as taking advantage of the numerous inbound opportunities that present themselves weekly. Over the course of the first year, you will be trained on the entirely bespoke product offering, the lead generation process and the contract negotiation cycle. The long-term goal for this individual is to promote them to a closing role where they can run sales meetings and close business autonomously. The company has a very structured SDR to Account Executive plan which usually takes between 6-12 months. Based in London, they’re right in the middle of their client base, meaning client meetings are encouraged.
Their solution enables businesses to market their products more effectively. They have over 800 clients from FTSE listed businesses such as IBM and Alianz to small boutique start-up tech firms. Their technology helps companies like these create personalised content, meaning deals are closed faster and with more strategic focus. Basically, their focus is to make sure their clients have a great buyer experience.
As a Sales Development Representative your responsibilities will include:
Generating and setting Enterprise level sales meetings
Attending meetings with an Account Executive or Business Development Manager.
Arranging and attending product demo’s
Pitching at C-Level within large companies in the Finance, Technology and HR space
Working with the marketing director to qualify and progress inbound enquiries
For this position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
Highly intelligent with a strong academic performance
1 - 2 years B2B Sales experience in any market
Happy to have access to remote and flexible working.
Driven individuals who want to genuinely progress and take responsibility of growing a start-up
